Medicare in simple terms is insurance for consumers provided by our government when you reach 65 Years old or you're disabled for more than 2 years. Most people don't pay for Part A coverage. Part A benefits is the portion on your Original Medicare plan that covers your hospital stay and skilled nursing facility. The deductible for part A in 2019 $1,364 for each benefit period. Part B covers services or supplies that are needed to diagnose or treat your medical conditions. Preventive is also included in Part B coverage. Other benefits that are included in Part B are ambulance trips, Clinical Research, Durable Medical Equipment (DME), Mental Health Services and limited outpatient drugs.
